Thomas Gardner "Tom" Roberson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Thomas Gardner "Tom" Roberson, age 76, died Friday, August 17 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. He was born in Wynnburg, TN, the son of the late Odie B. and Fannie Odessa (Yates) Roberson. Mr. Roberson was a member of the Hornbeak Church of Christ, a farmer, and was affiliated with Roberson Sawmill and Hornbeak Feed and Grain. He is survived by his wife, Meredith Short Roberson of Hornbeak; a son and daughter-in-law Frank and Kim Roberson of Hornbeak; a daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Randy Roney of Union City; a sister Imogene Ross of Martin; eight grandchildren Tyler Roberson of Clarksville, Jamie Roney of Union City; Katie Roney Hill and husband Eric of Dyersburg; Lyndsey Roney Prather and husband Seth of Union City; Abby Roney of Union City; Kristin Roberson Kendall and husband Tyler of South Fulton; Rachel Roberson of Nashville and Bradley Grady of Hornbeak and four great grandchildren, Reese Taylor of Nashville; Aubrie Hill of Dyersburg; Pyper Prather of Union City; and Grayson Kendall of South Fulton. In addition to his parents Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by three sisters, Artie Smith; Lucille Weaver; and Alma "Tootsie" Rhodes and four brothers, Ilar Roberson; Toy Roberson; Carl Roberson and Buddy Roberson. Bobby Stewart will officiate at the 1:00 PM service at the Hornbeak Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be David Roberson, Randy Roberson, Terry Roberson, Bob Reavis, Aaron Smith and Jamie Roney. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Smith, Clen Reavis, David Dean, Bubby Smith, Tom Williams, Johnny Asbill, Charles Harris and Jerry Grady.
